Case Studies for Nicksons Kitchens in Garstang, Preston

AV3065 in cappuccino gloss acrylic (percy)

Client: Mr Percy
Location: Wyre
Job Type: Kitchen

This kitchen was relatively straight forward, although there were a number of factors to organise. Firstly we removed the old kitchen furniture, kitchen ceiling and exisiting floor tiles. We then coordinated a total re-wire for the electrical and lighting circuits, re-boarded and skimmed the ceiling, fitted the new electric under floor heating matting and layed the floor tiles. Once the room was prepared the kitchen was installed followed by the Corian acrylic/granite work surfaces which were templated to incorporate curved to enhance the working flow and asthetics of the kitchen.

Malta seon beech kitchen (butters)

Client: Mrs Butters
Location: Lancaster
Job Type: Kitchen

This client had a particularly nasty fall leaving her with struggling with mobility and her exisiting kitchen was extremely out-dated (being well in excess of 30 years old), making just using the kitchen for day to day functions very difficult. The brief was that the kitchen had to be much easier to utilise and pleasant on the eye. It also had to include an eye level oven and fridge, an integrated freezer, space for a free standing microwave and if possible to hide a free standing washer and a free standing dryer.

We are pleased to say that even though another company told this client that a german kitchen would not fit within her room, we managed to not only make it fit but satisfy the whole brief and then some!! To some it may not seem an extravagant kitchen, but considering its small size and the amount of appliances we had to accomodate, it required some pretty clever planning. In relation to the installation we removed the existing kitchen, blocked up a window and re-rendered the outside of the house where the window had been, installed the kitchen as well as constructing false walls and laying the flooring.

Prentice Kensigton in-frame, hand painted kitchen (Dunne)

Client: Mr and Mrs Dunne
Location: Catforth
Job Type: Kitchen

This was the second kitchen that we fitted for this client in this property, replacing the original that we fitted between 10 and 15 years earlier. The main brief was for something completely different in appearance to the original, whch was a distressed and antiqued french oak styled kitchen. We completely changed the orientation of the kitchen switching the kitchen and eating areas around and we also included some feature appliances, such as the Liebherr fridge/freezer/wine chiller and the Esse, Aga style cooker. All aspects of the installation were undertaken.
